My best friend in the world flew up to visit me this weekend, and she came bearing gifts:
Yes, I have the best best friend/baker ever. Not only did she bake me a Twenty-Something Travel cake, she carried it on her lap the entire way from Atlanta. A closer look:
It’s a peanut butter chocolate cake, with chocolate icing. The design was done in fondant. All in all Kim says the process took her a mere 4 hours.
And, in case you were wondering, Twenty-Something Travel is absolutely delicious:
what an awesome friend! and the cake certainly looked awesome. really, how can you go wrong with peanut butter and chocolate!
OMG I LOVE IT!!! That is so cute…lol!!! I am going to have to fwd this link to my friends for when its time for me to leave I get a cake half as good!!!
Wow! That’s phenomenal! I wish I could make something like that… cakes I make always turn out looking like dog turds. Or looking absolutely perfect and tasting like flour ๐
Oh me too- I got none of the cake baking talent in this friendship!
Aww, that’s awesome! That cake looked great (and looks like it tasted great, too!) What a great, talented friend you have!
OMG, that cake is AMAZING!!! Can you she make my wedding cake please? ๐
That is one awesome friend you have! I’m really impressed with the design and that it was peanut butter & chocolate – is there a better combination than that in this world?!
There is absolutely no better combination in my humble opinion.
That’s love! What an amazing friend and cake!
You have an awesome friend! That cake looked so delicious. Best wishes on your travel writing career!
thanks!
That is absolutely amazing. And in peanut butter no less! She did such an amazing job. Two very talented best friends!!
Well thank you, we like to encourage each other’s talents.
Your best friend is awesome. A cake done up with your blog’s new design, plus carrying it with her on the the plane, that’s impressive. I’m surprised it wasn’t confiscated at security or something. The combination of chocolate and peanut butter also sounds really delicious.
I know, I’m surprised they let you take cakes through security! the xray did not effect the taste though!
