I love Spring. And I LOVE Springtime in DC.
After the winter to end all winters, warmth and happiness have come back to DC with a vengeance. And although I never want to see that much snow again, it was all worth it because springtime in DC is just gorgeous! I had the day off yesterday and spent it wandering downtown, soaking up the sunshine. Here are a few of my shots of spring bursting out in bloom:
I’m jealous and homesick, miss the cherry blossoms! Thanks for bringing me closer with your fab photos!
I used to always get homesick for DC in the spring as well!
Gorgeous pics! I am also loving this D.C. weather! (And I definitely just snagged that tulip/Capitol pic for my desktop.) 🙂
Gorgeous! Isn’t it crazy how fast the snow disappeared?!

really beautiful pictures;love the tulip one.
I can’t wait to see those once again next weekend when I go to DC for a sporting event for my school and another school. And longboard around the city, Loves the cherry trees.
Hi Steph, These pictures are so beautiful! It makes me want to go back to DC in the spring. I’ve been to DC once when I was 14 and it was in July and incredibly hot but these look pictures look much breezier. I love going out in my hometown and taking pictures of things I normally would just walk past without even noticing.

Yeah DC in the summertime is… not really my favorite. It can be unbearable hot and humid. Spring and fall though, those are money.
Great photos Steph. Spring in DC is magical!

thanks! I think the Capitol security guards thought i was a crazy person when I was crouching in their tulips to take it!
I am head over heels in love with D.C., but I’ve never been there in the springtime. It looks gorgeous ~ thanks for sharing your photos!

it’s days like yesterday I fall in love with DC all over again.
These are gorgeous photos, Steph; each one is better than the one before. And I’m so jealous! DC is about a month ahead of VT in terms of spring. Though I did notice some little green buds on a tree behind my house, which is probably more tragic than exciting, because I’m sure it’ll turn cold again and shrivel those poor little buds right up.

Yeah it came a bit early this year thanks to an unusual warm spell. I love the flowers although they only last for a few weeks.
