Eating Indianapolis

The most surprising and delightful thing about Indianapolis was the innovative food scene. Restaurants in Indy seem focused on using quality local ingredients in endlessly ingenious ways. Here is a taste of what I ate during my weekend trip to Indy:

Spicy Beet Carpaccio (Bluebeard)
Indiana Tomatos

Duck breast with polenta

Seasonal tomato and mozzarella salad with local bacon (Black Market)
Salted chocolate brittle with cream cheese ice cream

Pretzel and the spiciest mustard ever (Rathskeller)
Buffalo chicken skins (Cerulean)
Duck breast with lemon fettucini
Spiced chocolate ganache with avocado-lime ice cream
Broken Yolk sandwich (Patachou)

Mozzarella and proscuitto baguette (Goose the Market)

Now who’s hungry?

I visited Indianapolis as a guest of Visit Indy, all food pornography is my own.
