February has been a bit heavy around here, huh? After I got the sixth or seventh message telling me to cheer up, and that the bad times will pass, I realized that maybe I’m not giving you an accurate portrayal of how things are going around here. Which is, mostly excellent. As all my friends back home repeatedly dig themselves out of snowfall after snowfall, Mike and I are still loving the laid back Mexican beach life.
So, here’s a glimpse of our winter-time life in Mexico, a follow up to the first Life in Mexico post I made back in December, and a chance to spotlight some more photos that haven’t really fit in elsewhere.
Things that make us love living here:

Holy s%!t that’s a big bee! I’d lock myself in the bathroom and cry if one of those things was in my house. Everything else looks pretty amazing, though!
I was going to say that it looks like you and Michael are having a wonderful time in Mexico, but all I can think about it that giant bee. I’m going to have nightmares for a month now. Everyone thing else looks awesome.
OMG THE PALETAS!!! You are really hitting some high points of Mexico. Each one of these photos took me back to my time there – including all the festival stuff and the sunset performance and the fireworks! This makes me happy, thank you!
Stephanie, I wouldn’t mind grabbing one of those popsicles and hanging out at your favorite Sunday beach spot… HEAVEN!!! It looks like you’re activily engaging in the culture that surrounds you. It’s so fun to learn new things even if it’s the power of it’s the power of a dog’s ability to control your mind!
Fabulous pics! A friend is heading to Mexico this week and all I can think about is all the amazing food he’s going to get to eat. Sigh.
So lovely! Glad you’re having some good times there. Your photos make me miss the sun and want to head down to Mexico asap!

Some of the bugs here are absolutely ENORMOUS, like we live in Jurassic Park or something. Small price to pay…
